One Point 5 Seconds was founded on our passion for shooting and promoting the safe and effective use of firearms. Our primary focus is on helping students from beginner level through advanced develop a solid foundation to build their skills through simple and effective training practices that continuously improve their shooting every time they practice. Whether you are new to firearm ownership or own a gun but have never had any formal training, we help students of all levels polish and refine their skills to handle guns safely and effectively.
Austin Ahern
Primary Instructor/Owner
Austin Ahern is the primary instructor at One Point 5 Seconds and has a lifetime of shooting experience. He was introduced to shooting as a child and has been passionate about it ever since. Austin served in the U.S. Army Military Police and has continued training throughout the years. He divides his time at the range between pure accuracy practice and defensive shooting, and practices at least four times a week. Austin is an NRA and USCCA certified instructor and teaches Basic Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun, Concealed Carry, Defensive Shooting and Personal Protection courses. He is also a certified Chief Range Safety Officer.
